How the Money-Back Guarantee Works
You may qualify for a refund only if your final verified settlement on your Diminished Value (DV) or Total Loss (TL) claim is less than the fee you paid for your appraisal report and you meet the requirements below.
Requirements to Qualify
To be eligible, you must:
- Be the titled vehicle owner (leased vehicles do not qualify)
- Follow all instructions and recommendations we provide (including timelines and documentation requests)
- Provide proof of the final outcome of your claim (see “Verification” below)
- Pursue the claim through completion, including legal action if we recommend it
Total Loss Claims Only (Important)
For Total Loss (TL) claims:
If you are pursuing the claim through a third-party insurance carrier and you do not have full coverage insurance (comprehensive and collision), you will not receive a refund if the claim is denied.
When the Guarantee Does Not Apply
The Money-Back Guarantee does not apply if:
- The insurance policy limits were insufficient or exhausted
- The insurance company reimbursed you for the appraisal fee
- You signed a release, waiver, or settlement agreement with the insurance company
- The vehicle has any prior accident or damage history (even if you weren’t aware of it)
- You did not follow our instructions or did not provide the requested documentation
- We recommended legal action and you chose not to pursue it
- The claim outcome was affected by factors outside our control
Verification (What We’ll Need)
Before any refund can be issued, we must verify the final result. That may include:
- Copies of settlement checks
- Denial letters
- Emails/letters from the insurance carrier
- Proof of lawsuit filing and outcome (if applicable)
Refund Limits
If approved, any refund is limited to the amount you paid for the appraisal report.
Tennessee Claims
Due to current Tennessee law, the Money-Back Guarantee is not available for claims arising in Tennessee.
